Martinis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>*Por demostrar que los efectos cu\u00e1nticos pueden manifestarse en sistemas el\u00e9ctricos de gran escala, abriendo nuevas posibilidades para la computaci\u00f3n y sensores cu\u00e1nticos.<\/p>\n<p>07.10.2025 La Real Academia Sueca de Ciencias anunci\u00f3 este 7 de octubre que el galard\u00f3n m\u00e1s prestigioso en el campo de la f\u00edsica ser\u00e1 compartido por tres cient\u00edficos que lograron trasladar principios fundamentales de la mec\u00e1nica cu\u00e1ntica a una escala macrosc\u00f3pica. <\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores John Clarke (Reino Unido), Michel H. Devoret (Francia) y John M. Martinis (Estados Unidos) fueron reconocidos por sus experimentos pioneros en circuitos superconductores que evidencian el efecto t\u00fanel cu\u00e1ntico y la cuantizaci\u00f3n de la energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Los trabajos premiados se remontan a la d\u00e9cada de 1980, cuando el tr\u00edo realiz\u00f3 pruebas con un chip de aproximadamente un cent\u00edmetro de tama\u00f1o, construido con materiales superconductores. En este sistema, lograron observar c\u00f3mo miles de millones de pares de electrones enlazados \u2014conocidos como pares de Cooper\u2014 se comportaban como una sola entidad cu\u00e1ntica. <\/p>\n<p>Esto permiti\u00f3 demostrar que una corriente el\u00e9ctrica pod\u00eda atravesar una barrera de potencial, fen\u00f3meno conocido como *efecto t\u00fanel*, y que la energ\u00eda se absorb\u00eda y emit\u00eda en cantidades discretas, tal como predice la teor\u00eda cu\u00e1ntica.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta entonces, estos efectos solo se hab\u00edan observado en sistemas microsc\u00f3picos con pocas part\u00edculas. El logro de Clarke, Devoret y Martinis fue demostrar que tales fen\u00f3menos pueden manifestarse en dispositivos lo suficientemente grandes como para sostenerse en la mano, lo que representa un puente entre la f\u00edsica cu\u00e1ntica y la ingenier\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica.<\/p>\n<p>Este descubrimiento ha sido clave para el desarrollo de tecnolog\u00edas emergentes como las computadoras cu\u00e1nticas, la criptograf\u00eda cu\u00e1ntica y los sensores de alta precisi\u00f3n. Seg\u00fan Olle Eriksson, presidente del Comit\u00e9 Nobel de F\u00edsica, \u201cla mec\u00e1nica cu\u00e1ntica, con m\u00e1s de un siglo de existencia, sigue ofreciendo sorpresas y es la base de toda la tecnolog\u00eda digital\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>La ceremonia de entrega del Nobel se realizar\u00e1 el pr\u00f3ximo 10 de diciembre en Estocolmo, fecha que conmemora el fallecimiento de Alfred Nobel.
