Danella Gallegos, una mujer de 38 a\u00f1os de Nuevo M\u00e9xico, fue declarada en coma irreversible y su familia accedi\u00f3 a donar sus \u00f3rganos, confiando en el diagn\u00f3stico m\u00e9dico. Sin embargo, cuando se preparaba todo para la cirug\u00eda de extracci\u00f3n en el hospital Presbyterian de Albuquerque, uno de sus familiares not\u00f3 algo inquietante: l\u00e1grimas corriendo por su rostro. Al ser descartadas como simples reflejos, nadie esper\u00f3 lo que suceder\u00eda despu\u00e9s. El d\u00eda del procedimiento, una de sus hermanas observ\u00f3 movimientos y un m\u00e9dico le pidi\u00f3 a Gallegos que parpadeara si pod\u00eda o\u00edrlo y lo hizo.
