{"id":410851,"date":"2024-07-12T10:01:36","date_gmt":"2024-07-12T16:01:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/billieparkernoticias.com\/?p=410851"},"modified":"2024-07-12T10:01:36","modified_gmt":"2024-07-12T16:01:36","slug":"liliana-romero-la-cientifica-de-acero","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fronteraveracruz.com\/?p=410851","title":{"rendered":"Liliana Romero, la Cient\u00edfica de acero ."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Por Fabiola M\u00e9ndez \/ Emmanuel Medina.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>El desarrollo de Liliana Romero, de la Facultad de Qu\u00edmica de la UNAM, adem\u00e1s de tener propiedades antimicrobianas es seis veces m\u00e1s duradero que el acero convencional<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Por este trabajo, la acad\u00e9mica obtuvo un galard\u00f3n en la cuarta edici\u00f3n de 25 Mujeres en la Ciencia, edici\u00f3n especial en Sustentabilidad Ambiental, organizada por la Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company 3M<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cuando viajamos en el Metro solemos sujetarnos de alg\u00fan tubo met\u00e1lico a fin de asegurarnos un viaje m\u00e1s estable y no caernos en alg\u00fan enfren\u00f3n, pero el acero empleado en su elaboraci\u00f3n acumula pat\u00f3genos y su vida no es tan larga como se esperar\u00eda.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><iframe title=\"LILIANA ROMERO, LA CIENT\u00cdFICA DE ACERO\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/o_hkozVodKg?feature=oembed\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAhora, imaginemos que podemos construirlos con un material mucho m\u00e1s resistente (y por tanto ecol\u00f3gico) que, adem\u00e1s no nos transmita enfermedades como la influenza o el coronavirus\u201d, plantea Liliana Romero, profesora de la Facultad de Qu\u00edmica de la UNAM.<\/p>\n<p>Para tener un producto de tales caracter\u00edsticas, la acad\u00e9mica dise\u00f1\u00f3 un acero mucho m\u00e1s\u00a0ligero y hasta seis veces m\u00e1s resistente y durable que el convencional, pues como explica, \u201cello significa menor mantenimiento, costo de reemplazo m\u00e1s bajo y menor generaci\u00f3n de residuos\u201d, expuso.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, como fue desarrollado en tiempos de pandemia y a fin de disminuir la posibilidad de contagio por contacto (o f\u00f3mites), la profesora Romero us\u00f3 metales de uso cotidiano e incorpor\u00f3 part\u00edculas de cobre en toda la masa de la aleaci\u00f3n a fin de conseguir propiedades antimicrobianas. \u201cAl estar en todo el volumen y no s\u00f3lo en la superficie nos aseguramos de no perder la capacidad de combatir virus y bacterias, aunque el tubo se desgaste, raye o experimente otros percances\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Para Romero Res\u00e9ndiz, se trata de un trabajo que, de aplicarse, repercutir\u00e1 en beneficio de la sociedad. \u201cCon ello, podremos usar el transporte p\u00fablico y sostenernos de tubos que no nos contagiar\u00e1n enfermedades, que ser\u00e1n m\u00e1s ecol\u00f3gicos y menos costosos\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Flexibilidad<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Para conseguir dicho material, explica la universitaria, \u201cse combinaron distintas zonas, ya que cada una tiene diferentes propiedades. Unas son m\u00e1s flexibles que otras, y pese a que es resistente, dicha flexibilidad es importante porque ayuda a que se le puedan dar diversas formas\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Los materiales compuestos por zonas diferentes para mejorar las propiedades finales se llaman heteroestructurados, la cual es la l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n de Romero Res\u00e9ndiz: \u201cSoy la primera persona que trabaja este tipo de investigaciones en M\u00e9xico\u201d, refiere.<\/p>\n<p>De esta manera modific\u00f3 el material para obtener las propiedades deseadas, por lo que este primer prototipo es seis veces m\u00e1s durable que el acero convencional. \u201cCuando un metal es m\u00e1s resistente se puede usar menos cantidad de \u00e9l. Por ejemplo, si un barco necesita una l\u00e1mina de 100 kilogramos, con este prototipo se podr\u00e1 usar una l\u00e1mina m\u00e1s delgada que seguir\u00e1 teniendo la misma resistencia, y, la nave, al estar compuesta de este material, ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s ligera y usar\u00e1 menos combustible.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reconocimiento<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El proyecto de la profesora Liliana Romero se patent\u00f3 en enero de 2023 y se ha presentado con \u00e9xito en diversos congresos internacionales. Adem\u00e1s, le vali\u00f3 un reconocimiento en la cuarta edici\u00f3n de 25 Mujeres en la Ciencia, edici\u00f3n especial en Sustentabilidad Ambiental, otorgado por la Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company 3M.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-137688\" src=\"https:\/\/unamglobal.unam.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Liliana-Romero-1024x683.jpg\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/unamglobal.unam.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Liliana-Romero-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/unamglobal.unam.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Liliana-Romero-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/unamglobal.unam.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Liliana-Romero-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/unamglobal.unam.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Liliana-Romero.jpg 1170w\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n fueron galardonadas otras siete mexicanas: Danay Carillo Nieves y Marilena Antunes Ricardo, del Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey; Ang\u00e9lica del Carmen Ruiz, del Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico Nacional; Berenice Balderas Segura, de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de San Luis Potos\u00ed; Andrea Bonilla, de la Universidad de las Am\u00e9ricas Puebla; Karime Guill\u00e9n Libi\u00e9n, de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma del Estado de M\u00e9xico, e Ibeth Cort\u00e9s \u00c1ngeles, de la Universidad Tecnol\u00f3gica de la Sierra Sur de Oaxaca.
